Charlie Burrows'The Nazarene', a Ruan Magan film, is the story of the extraordinary life and work of Fr Charlie Burrows, an Oblate missionary in Indonesia. Here in what is the most populous Muslim nation on earth this straight-talking Irishman has been building bridges with Islamic communities, through 'dialogue in action', for nearly 40 years.

The film was shown on RTE 1 last month as part of the new 'Would You Believe' series. RTE's statistics indicate it was seen by about a quarter of a million people. From the many messages we have received over the past weeks, it is clear that Fr Charlie's story struck a chord with many viewers. If you have not had an opportunity to see the film, you can view it here, slightly modified and in three parts. .
