Teacher training in Lahore

Published on 15th February 2013.

Education in LahoreIn July, 3 specialists in education and maths (from UK, US & RSA) and a professor from Lesotho’s National University ran a 3-day in-service workshop for 50 maths and science teachers from Maseru high schools. The focus was on child-centred learning, peer-learning and improvisation in contexts where there are few teaching aids available. This successful program will be repeated in future years. All of the specialists worked on a voluntary basis; the MDO provided €4,000 to meet workshop associated expenses.
